Privacy

Simple privacy, in plain English.

You can use the Social Media Platform Finder without giving me your name or email address. Your Finder answers are processed in your browser to generate the recommendation and are not submitted to me as part of normal tool use.

Short version: the Finder questions themselves are not a lead form. If you choose to subscribe, send a message, or request a call, the information you provide for that action is handled by the relevant service described below.

Social Media Platform Finder

The answers you select in the Finder are used on the page to calculate your result. The current version does not send those questionnaire answers to me or save them to the newsletter system.

Optional newsletter signup

If you voluntarily enter your email address and opt in to updates, your email address and consent are sent through the site’s subscription function to Kit, the email platform used for newsletters. You can unsubscribe from those emails at any time using the unsubscribe option provided in them.

Contact form

If you send a message through the contact form, the information you enter, such as your name, email address, topic, website or social profile, and message, is submitted through Web3Forms so the message can reach me. I may review the public website or social profile you provide to understand the professional context of the enquiry and decide whether it is relevant to continue the conversation. Please do not submit sensitive personal information through the form.

Call requests

If you choose to request a call, the website first asks for basic context, including your name, email address, a public website or social profile, the reason for the call, and a short description. That screening information is submitted through Web3Forms so I can understand the request. I may review the public online presence you provide as part of deciding whether the request is relevant and appropriate to continue. If you continue to scheduling, the booking experience is provided by Cal.com and information entered there is handled through Cal.com for scheduling purposes.

Spam protection

The contact form uses hCaptcha to help prevent automated abuse. hCaptcha may process technical information needed to provide that security service.

Website analytics

I may use Google Analytics 4 to understand how people find and use this website, for example which pages are visited, general traffic sources, device or browser information, and approximate geographic information such as country or region. Google requires sites using Analytics to disclose its use and how data is processed.

The Finder questionnaire answers, contact-form content, names, and email addresses are not intentionally sent to Google Analytics. Analytics is for understanding website usage, not for storing your Finder responses.

If analytics is enabled with consent controls, analytics will follow the consent choice presented on the site. Google Analytics may also process technical identifiers and related usage information according to Google’s own privacy terms.

External services and links

The site links to or embeds services from third parties including YouTube, Cal.com, Kit, Web3Forms and hCaptcha. If you interact with those services, their own privacy terms may also apply.

What I do not want you to send

Please do not use this website to send passwords, government identification numbers, financial information, detailed immigration records, medical information, or other highly sensitive personal information.

Questions

If you have a question about this privacy notice or the information you have voluntarily provided through the site, you can use the contact form on the homepage.
